Introducing the NaNoWrimo Tab

To-Do List

Feature: To-Do List added to right sidebar. Manage tasks by Chapter, Manuscript, or Global. [Video Summary]

Tabbed Navigation

Users can now open chapters in individual editor tabs, enabling seamless switching and focused writing across multiple sections. [Video Summary]

Two-Factor Authentication

Added Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) functionality. Users can now enable 2FA through the "Security" tab in settings, linking either a phone number or an authenticator app.

Editable Stash and Notes Toolbar

Users can now edit text within the "Stash" feature. Additionally, note and description fields now include a formatting toolbar for rich text editing. [Introducing LivingWriter Stash]

Element Sheets

Introduced Element Sheets: Elements now feature dedicated sheets, providing a centralized view of notes, descriptions, relationships, and nicknames. Access Element Sheets by right-clicking an element in the sidebar or double-clicking from the Elements board.

Manuscript Statuses

Users can now assign statuses to entire manuscripts, in addition to chapters, outlines, scenes, and folders. Access this feature via the Manuscripts page by clicking the three dots next to the manuscript and selecting "Edit Status."

Smaller Updates to Existing Features

Editor Enhancements:

• Expanded Dash Support:

  • Implemented support for EN and EM dashes. Type two consecutive hyphens (--) for an EN dash and three consecutive hyphens (---) for an EM dash.

• Enhanced Text Formatting:

  • All note and description fields now feature a formatting toolbar, enabling comprehensive text styling.

• Upcoming (Q4):

  • The formatting toolbar will be upgraded with expanded styling options while maintaining a streamlined interface.

  • Introduction of AI-powered rewrite and summarization functionalities for efficient note management.

AI Improvements:

• Performance and Intelligence Upgrades:

  • Significant enhancements to all AI features (Manuscript Chat, Analysis, Rewrite, and Summarize) resulting in faster processing and improved accuracy.

  • AI Outline generation now demonstrates improved adaptability to diverse topics.

  • Manuscript Chat now offers multiple display sizes to enhance readability of extended conversations.

• Upcoming (Q4):

  • Introduction of AI Text-to-Speech (TTS) and Speech-to-Text (STT) capabilities.

  • Implementation of AI Bulk Element Generation.

  • Addition of an AI Thesaurus.

  • Significant updates to screenwriting tools and features, providing enhanced control and professional-grade capabilities.
