A Whole New Look.

We’ve redesigned parts of LivingWriter from the ground up, but kept it familiar. It’s sleeker, smarter, and more customizable. With powerful new features and a mobile experience that feels brand new. Make sure you update your mobile apps for iOS and Android!

Cleaner. Smarter.

The top toolbar is now redesigned and collapsible for a cleaner workspace. Redesigned sidebars improve navigation and structure. Highlight options appear contextually on the right—customizable in Manuscript settings for those who prefer the classic overlay. We’ve also made many small adjustments and added features across the application to make your writing experience smoother!

LivingWriter AI. Supercharged.

LivingWriter AI is now up to 10× faster across all tools—AI Analysis, Chat, Summarize, Image Generation, Cover Images, Rewrite, and more. Regular users will notice significant improvements in response time and reliability.

AI Chat now supports manuscripts up to 100,000 words with expanded context awareness, including all story elements and boards. We’ve integrated highly requested features into both AI Chat and the Writing Assistant. All our features will be available to try on a limited basis to premium (non-AI) subscribers.

AI Screenplay Conversion has also been rebuilt from the ground up. In addition to chapter-level conversion, you can now convert your entire manuscript into screenplay format directly from the Manuscripts page.

AI Language Settings can now be updated per feature instead of just globally in the settings.

Boards, Reimagined.

Completely overhauled based on suggestions by you and your peers. Now with a dedicated sidebar for faster navigation. Plus, AI Manuscript Chat understands your boards and elements—bringing smarter, more relevant insights to every conversation.

Smarter Sidebars. Sharper Focus.

Notes can now expand to fill the entire right sidebar—perfect for larger note-taking. Toggle Dark Mode instantly from the top right. New in-app notifications (slowly rolled out this week) will allow you to stay in the loop with real-time alerts for deadlines, goals, todo list items, updates, and shared manuscript changes.

Ambassadors For Everyone.

Now open to everyone. Access your custom referral link from Settings > Ambassador Dashboard and share it anywhere—social, email, or your site.

Earn recurring commissions every time someone you refer stays subscribed. You’ll earn commissions not just once, but monthly or yearly - depending on their plan.

Commission Structure:

Premium Monthly – $1.00 / $1.50 (every month)

Premium Yearly – $10.00 / $14.00 (every year)

Premium + AI Monthly – $3.00 (every month)

Premium + AI Yearly – $30.00 (every year)

Lifetime License – $69.00 (one-time)

Payouts are on your terms—withdraw at any time or apply them to your own subscription.

Collaboration and Offline Mode Updates

In the next few weeks we’re expanding our collaboration system with tracked changes, live cursors, version history, shared snapshots, in-document chat, enhanced comments, and more.

We know many of you have been waiting patiently for Offline Mode—and we truly appreciate your trust and understanding. This update is a crucial step toward making it a reality, and we promise it’ll be worth the wait.

To support these changes, there will be a brief scheduled maintenance on July 28 at 3:00 AM ET (GMT-5). LivingWriter will be temporarily inaccessible for 10–20 minutes while we upgrade our infrastructure.

While LivingWriter is built to be intuitive, some advanced features are intentionally kept out of the way until needed. To support users looking for more in-depth guidance, we’ve launched a new written documentation site: guides.livingwriter.com

The guides cover all major features with detailed, step-by-step instructions. It includes an AI Based Search and Answers feature at the top right for quickly learning LivingWriter.

Earlier this year, we announced two new companion apps—both completely free for LivingWriter users.

The first app helps authors track real-time market trends, keywords, category movement, and sales data on Amazon—giving you the tools to optimize and succeed on KDP. The second app, powered by our AI, will suggest personalized book recommendations based on your favorite titles—designed to help you discover your next great read.

Both are just weeks away. We’re also preparing to launch in LivingWriter:
