The **top toolbar** is now redesigned and collapsible for a cleaner workspace. Redesigned **sidebars** improve navigation and structure. **Highlight** options appear contextually on the right—customizable in Manuscript settings for those who prefer the classic overlay. We’ve also made many small adjustments and added features across the application to make your writing experience smoother!

<h2 align="center"><mark style="color:blue;"><strong>LivingWriter AI. Supercharged.</strong></mark></h2>

LivingWriter AI is now up to 10× faster across all tools—**AI Analysis, Chat, Summarize, Image Generation, Cover Images, Rewrite,** and more. Regular users will notice significant improvements in response time and reliability.

**AI Chat** now supports **manuscripts up to 100,000 words** with expanded context awareness, including all story elements and boards. We’ve integrated highly requested features into both AI Chat and the Writing Assistant. All our features will be available to try on a **limited basis to premium (non-AI) subscribers**.

**AI Screenplay Conversion** has also been rebuilt from the ground up. In addition to chapter-level conversion, you can now **convert your entire manuscript** into screenplay format directly from the Manuscripts page.

**AI Language Settings** can now be updated per feature instead of just globally in the settings.

**Notes** can now expand to fill the entire right sidebar—perfect for larger note-taking. Toggle **Dark Mode** instantly from the top right. New **in-app notifications** (slowly rolled out this week) will allow you to stay in the loop with real-time alerts for deadlines, goals, todo list items, updates, and shared manuscript changes.

**In the next few weeks** we’re expanding our collaboration system with tracked changes, live cursors, version history, shared snapshots, in-document chat, enhanced comments, and more.

We know many of you have been waiting patiently for **Offline Mode**—and we truly appreciate your trust and understanding. This update is a crucial step toward making it a reality, and we promise it’ll be worth the wait.

To support these changes, there will be a brief **scheduled maintenance on July 28 at 3:00 AM ET (GMT-5)**. LivingWriter will be temporarily inaccessible for 10–20 minutes while we upgrade our infrastructure.
