Welcome to LivingWriter

This is a very simple step-by-step guide for your first time in LivingWriter!


As you log in for the first time, you'll be greeted with the Dashboard. This user-friendly interface is your central hub, where you can effortlessly create, edit, and manage all your manuscripts. You can also explore our available templates, generate an AI Outline, and import your manuscripts.


How to create a manuscript:

Simply click on the "Blank Manuscript" option located at the top left of your screen. Once clicked, a new window will pop up where you can type in the information regarding your manuscript (title, description, authors, etc).

After entering your manuscript's information, simply click on "Create," and your new manuscript will open automatically.


Templates:

We offer a wide range of templates, from the Hero's Journey and Romancing the Beat to Screenplays and Academic Theses. These templates ensure your narratives are well-organized and structurally sound. For non-fiction, we provide templates for memoirs, biographies, self-help books, and more.

When you click on any of the four available options, a new window will appear. This window provides a detailed view of the selected template, along with the information you'll need to enter to make the most of that template.

Once you have chosen your preferred template and typed in the required information, your new manuscript will open, Once you've selected your preferred template and entered the necessary information, your new manuscript will open, perfectly outlined with the template of your choice.


How to import a manuscript:

On the dashboard, in the middle right, you will be able to see the ''Import Story'' option available for you.

After clicking on it, you will now be presented with the importing menu, where you will be able to see where you can upload your manuscript, the format, the size limit, etc.

Once you've selected the manuscript you wish to import, you can choose to organize your headings by font size or add H2 lines as subchapters.

Finally, click "Import," and your newly imported manuscript will open automatically for you.
